My Name Is Krista Oakes.
I specialize in working with seniors and beginners and teaching gentler yoga classes where the focus is on safety, proper body alignment, mindfulness and learning to trust yourself - even if you're new to yoga.
I love supporting others and seeing their strength and confidence grow as they make themselves a priority! I'm an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) who started my journey to yoga over 20 years ago. I've taught classes and workshops to thousands of people throughout the east coast. My approach to teaching integrates the mindfulness of meditation, lifestyle coaching, and the compassionate approach of Kripalu Yoga, rooted in faith and spirituality with humor sprinkled throughout.

What’s a Chair Yoga class like? Is it a bunch of white haired golden girls sitting in chairs wearing polyester track suits reaching their arms up to the sky? Not at all. Chair Yoga incorporates both seated and standing poses so you can challenge yourself safely and carefully.

Allows you to do yoga without having to sit on the floor…or more importantly having to get back up.

Classes are offered Monday, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM (classes are subject to change).
Two outdoor yoga classes are offered per month (this is always subject to change based on schedule and weather).
Participate in all or as many classes as you can that are offered each month.
As a member, you can take classes in person or online and you can switch back and forth. You have unlimited access to classes however it suits you best.
To participate in online classes, you need to have a zoom account and appropriate equipment to connect and view the class.
In Personal classes are located at the Port Orange Presbyterian Church located at 4662 S. Clyde Morris Blvd.
