Yoga to Release Tension

Here's a short and easy technique to release tension in your body. It can help you feel less tense in your physical body and also less tense in your heart and mind.

This is a really great stress and tension releaser.

Throughout your day, when you notice you’re getting stressed out, notice the tightness and tension in your body. You might also notice your heart feel tight.

This is a exercise that just takes only a few minutes to help you feel better.

Start with the arms at your side as you lengthen up through the spine. Take a deep breath in and at the top of the breath, hold your breath, tighten your face, tighten your fists, lift the shoulders up. Get everything tight and then exhale.

When you exhale just let it all go. And then try it again. Do this as many times as you need to until you feel more calm and relaxed and less tense. You want to feel like you can go into the next moment a little more joyfully.
